Jennifer Narog Taylor is a native of Fairmont, West Virginia. She is a graduate of Fairmont State College, where she received an Associate of Science Degree (1978) and a Bachelor of Science Degree, cum laude, (1983.) She majored in Business Administration, with a minor in Spanish. Jennifer was graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1987, Order of the Barristers. As a member of the Moot Court Board, Jennifer was a finalist in the 1986 Baker's Cup Competition (Best Brief Award). A recipient of the Eastern Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship, she was a co-author of a significant Law Review article, An Update on Donley: Coal, Oil and Gas Law in West Virginia and Virginia, along with the late Paul Bowles and Thomas Lane. |

Jennifer moved to Charleston, West Virginia, in 1987, where she began practice as an associate with Preiser & Wilson, later Hunt & Wilson. As a member of the litigation team, she tried cases from West Virginia to Louisiana to California in state, federal and bankruptcy courts. She later worked with the firm Campbell & Turkaly for many years before starting her own practice in 1998. For 15 years Jennifer took a leave of absence from private practice and served as session counsel to the West Virginia House of Delegates. She later served as Assistant General Counsel for the West Virginia State Treasurer and General Counsel to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Jennifer also was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the West Virginia University College of Law, where she taught Appellate Advocacy. She is an Administrative Law Judge and Hearing Examiner for various state agencies and is a certified mediator. When not practicing law, Jennifer enjoys practicing cooking on her family and friends, spoiling the children in her life, traveling and playing golf. Summer finds her gardening or cooling her heels in the highlands of her beloved Canaan Valley. |
